This is my new character Vrue. I had been thinking about making her for some time, but hadn't worked out the kinks yet. I knew I wanted light skin with the hue of blue in it and then an overall blue/teal combo. I only added the pink in towards the end because the lack of varity was kinda lame. I also knew I wanted her to have lighter hair - wasn't sure of the shades so that was done last, but I like the outcome. I wanted her to have a victorian feel to her, but still as little clothes as possible. Her hair is shorter - in this version she just happens to have some of it pulled back, but I picture her with a pixie-like short hair style. She is a fae and the butterflies are her pets. The only power I know she has as of now is telekinesis... well, and she can fly. Fanart of her would be great if you want to take a stab at her.

This was made for a contest being held on DA by La-Ela to make fanart of some of her characters. This was the second character I did and wasn't too sure I would finish it because it wasn't working out so well to start with. But in the end, I do like how it came out. I like the shoes - I had been wanting to do something like that for some time now. I like the color combo as well.

This was made for a contest being held on DA by La-Ela to make fanart of some of her characters. I made this one first because I really liked the character design and I wanted to try my hand at making the furry tail. (first time) I spent a good amount of time on this one, but am really happy with it. I reshaded the whole base to adjust the skin tone to match her character. I had tons of fun making the outfit and went alittle detail crazy. I am happy with the wings too, because they look pretty darn close to how she created them. I also really like the cream palette I used here - it came out really well on the wrapping around the end of her tail.

This doll started in the middle of making my Leiani base. I knew I wanted a pose for my archer character Payoe, but I wasn't sure exactly what pose that would be. I sketched out a few, but this was the one I ended up really liking. This is not part of the base set and will not be. It is not a base... I pixeled it while I was making the base and didn't make the base seperate on purpose... so she would have her own pose. So please don't ask for this one. I do have another, shaded archer pose if you want it... email me. The bow and skirt were designed by cloverstar from a drawing request I made. I really liked the new design, so I had to make time to pixel it. And I really wanted to test out the bow, since it was her design based off just what I said I wanted. I like most of the outcome. I couldn't get the cape part of the skirt to look good pixel shaded, so it is tool shaded... not sure if it looks ok with the rest of the doll? I hoped the bow shading would come out better too, but I struggled with it for about 4 days... with the help of cloverstar's advise. Also, irizzle helped me with her left boot... it was giving me issues. So that is about all. If you do character fan art of this version, please also note cloverstar designed the outfit.

This was done for a contest about things underwater. After having a talk with keleos, I joked that I would make a dead body. I ended up sticking with the idea and made a new base just for this entry. I spent a good amount of time on this. The pose was kinda hard to get, but it came out ok. The shading overall kinda sucks and I didn't know what to do for the background. I also botched the animation because the weeds under her back wouldn't be able to move with the current, but ah well.

This was done for a contest dealing with a pot of gold. So I had to do a rainbow. I like this one, it was the first time I really tool shaded anything (rainbow). I love the cloud. I am iffy on the hair, the ponytail could have been better and the clothes are alittle plain.

This was done for a contest based on artwork by jaeden. I spent a whole hella lot of time on this one. I actually did the outfit first, which I never do, and really, really like how it came out. I was surprised at how ok the large cloak came out despite only using 4 colors to shade the thing. I am really happy with most everything on this. I like the metal over her arms. The palettes were amazing to work with and I think just being able to look at her work so closely helped very much. I did the hair at the last minute and based if off of art here, but got flack for it from some people. Poor you! Still yet, the contest holder didn't seem to mind and I got 2nd place for her. I am happy because it was the outfit that I put so much time and effort into!

This was done just for fun. I wanted to use this hair palette again... so I really like how the hair came out. There was no direction with this but when I was done she had an 80's feel to her - kinda Jem-ish.

This was done after I made the base and was testing it. It's very messy but I was testing myself with folds on larger dolls so I like how the dress came out. She had a flapper kinda look to her, so the hair was inspiried from here.

This was done after halloween 2004 I think, but wasn't really a halloween gift doll. I just wanted to do something themed for that time. I really like the unshaded hair, the solid black color just looks artsy to me. It's based off a doll from here.

This was just me messing with the base again. I wanted to do a 40's styled dress like this, but at the time I did not know how to make patterns or anything uniform, so the whole dress pattern is hand done. Ugh!

I really wanted to use this green and orange together so this is what I came up with. I saw some old, cool dresses online so I based if off them.

I was still learning how to shade here, very minimal shading, kinda screwy. I like the hair and I like the little purse. But that's about all.

This was my first doll on this base after I made it. It's still my favorite despite all it's flaws. I like the flow of the hair, though it has hardly any shading. I like the green parts on the dress and the rose and vine came out good since this was my first real try at a lot of stuff.
